I'm hoping they'll visit Sweden, Germany, UK or Russia, plane tickets to those countries aren't terribly expensive at least, as I'm sure they won't come to Finland, too small country and audience...it just seems they've booked almost entire year 2012 for touring in US, would that mean they'd tour in Europe during fall, or as far as 2013, I wonder.

*mod hat*

rozovian, I know you're joking, but just watch out about joking about people's countries. Because of how humour is subject to people's cultural background and knowledge of language, it can easily be misinterpreted as a slur and we don't want arguments breaking out.

:)

And I'm saying this in public just to remind everyone because we've got so many folks from different countries here now.

Ravenclaw, if my visa were still valid I would consider it. However it expired 2 years ago, and I'm waiting till my fiance gets his PhD admission results to get a new one.
Stupid expired visa :ufufu:

ah well since we both live in Finland... :'D otherwise, what you said is all true.
I'm not sure how Zelda tour is arranged, but I attended to Distant Worlds II concert, which is a Final Fantasy orchestrated music tour, and they visit pretty much every European capital but Helsinki, heh.

And I have to say I try not to look too much forward to it so I won't be disappointed, if they for reason or another won't tour in Europe. Still, Distant Worlds concert was amazing and I felt like crying because the live music was so beautiful, and it was still Final Fantasy, and compared to Zelda I'm still way bigger fan of Zelda than FF so having the orchestra play Zelda songs oh my god ;;;....

Don't we have the world design capital or something this year? Then again, would video game music concert arrangers care about that?

The closest I reckon I'll get is turning the volume up on whatever orchestral Zelda tracks I have or can get my hands on. I could also add audience noise, I have a few "instruments" for that (yes they actually include stuff like that in some sample libraries). Wouldn't come close to beating the atmosphere of a real concert hall tho, and it'd be nice to be able to listen to something without everyone else in the house turning their apparatuses up too.

And meet other fans of vgm. Maybe. ;)

It's cool, guys. I'm basically here as a legal disclaimer. I'd rather not wear the mod hat if I can help it.

I was really worried for a time there would be no Canada shows, so I'm pleased we got the Toronto one.

My best friend and I have already agreed to go if it comes to NYC. We're hoping that it's too major a place to skip - I mean, I don't like to toot my region's horn too much, but it is kind of important and populated.

I honestly don't like the city (or cities at all, really), but this is worth it.

To anyone who's been to the concerts: How many spoilers are shown throughout the show? I'm bringing along a friend who while loves and plays the games, has never really gotten around to finishing them (still at the last mirror piece in TP, first time in Lanaryu Desert for SS, Wind Temple for MC, half-way through Link to the Past I believe) As much as I push her to play and finish them as throughly and quickly as possible, I'm afraid a month will be hardly enough to cover at least three games :c
Plus my dad wants to go also, and he only has vague 80's nostalgia of the original LoZ, and the chances of him asking me the hell happened is very likely. At least I'll sound somewhat smart hopefully :scholar:
