What is this fanlisting for?
This fanlisting is in support of a positive relationship (any kind of good relationship either friendly or romantic) between Malon, and Zelda from the Legend of Zelda series. It's also in support of the fans who are tired of the fighting that goes on between Malon and Zelda fans. It's here for the people who can, and want to, respect the right of others to choose which character they like. It's here for the people who don't try to force their opinions on others and for the people who are sick of seeing the endless fighting, bashing, and other such "debates" that go on between Legend of Zelda fans. -Fans who seem to have almost no self control and apparently no regard for other's feelings or right to an opinion. So you can be a Malon fan, Marin fan, Zelda fan, a person who wishes that they could be friends, or just person who is just tired of all the pointless fighting, and this fan listing would be for you. Why did I make this fanlisting?
This fanlisting is just for fun and because this something I thought needed to be done and said, nothing more really. After becoming involved in the zelda community through my site, History of Hyrule, I feel like I've seen enough fighting between fans. I'm too old and tired to continuously tell people how I feel and of trying to keep people from getting stepped on by more aggressive fans. Stepped on for the simple reason that they can relate to one character more than another. Everyone has a right to their opinion as long as they're not promoting hate in the process (That goes equally for the real world as well.) The Legend of Zelda series is very open-ended, and you do know that you can love one character without hating another, right? It seems that people follow some horrible stereotypes about women, and humanity, when they engage in these fan fights, maybe it's just that they don't understand exactly what it is they're doing in the process? I have no clue as to what they could be thinking, but it's very sad to see. So, let me take a moment more of your time and ask you to think about something else: You have two girls, about the same age, from the same country, they both endured extreme hardships because of the same person, they've both done their part to try to make their country a better place, and there aren't many other girls around: Why couldn't they be friends? Why shouldn't they be friends? There's no proof in the series that they're not or that they are- So if you're going to spend time giving personalities to characters that were given very little dialog to begin with, why not? All this bashing and fighting because of a man perhaps? (Even if it IS Link) "Who gets him, who does he want?" That's also sad. It's time Legend of Zelda fans stopped fighting over romance. Give the characters self-respect, don't make them jealous and caddy, doing that is an unnecessary insult to other fans. Talk about it, profess your love for characters, but stop being mean to each other just because someone feels love for something you do not. Respecting other people makes you a person worthy of respect. Disrespect usually just ends up making you laughable, or a bully. -Simple as that.
